Sharpen the Saw

Habit #7 in Stephen Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Sharpen the Saw

When you dedicate time to sharpening yourself there are two results:
1️⃣ You get better at whatever activity you are dedicating time to. This opens more opportunity for accumulating skill.
2️⃣ You have more time to accomplish more or do more sharpening in other disciplines.

This is essentially unlocking “compound interest” to your personal growth. Something we’ve overviewed in a past issue of T+P!

This week, take some time to sharpen the saw!

Ideas…

  • 📚 Set a reading goal for the year (recommend using Goodreads App).

  • 🚗 Listen to books or podcasts during your commute.

  • 💪🏼 Carve out repeating time for exercise.

  • 🏃🏼‍♂️‍➡️ Learn a new exercise routine, lift, skill.

  • 🍽️ Make a new recipe.

  • 🌿 Add a new supplement to the diet.

  • 🌟 Attempt something new… and stick with it for a season.

  • 😉 Head to the T+P Archives and read an entry of interest.
