Fail More. Know More.

Too many things are left undone… or not started at all, because we would rather not fail. Certainly we’re not actively pursuing failure, we’re wanting to succeed at our endeavors, so it makes sense that we don’t want to fail. But these pursuits should be held in tension with the idea of iterating to create the best outcome.

Goals that are worth achieving are worth the work of iterating over time, so that the best outcome can be attained. Meaningful work is worth the setbacks. Truly, the ultimate setback would be not doing the work at all, not gleaning knowledge and not attaining the result you’re striving for.

So lean into the work. Chase goals that require you to grow. Lean into continuous improvement. And know that even if you “completely pivot,” there will be things learned along the way that will apply somewhere!
